Dr. Waleed Youssef

Received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Ain Shams University,drwaleed
Egypt; his M.Sc. in Computer Science, Helwan University, Egypt,
Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from The George Washington
University, U.S., and his M.Sc. in Statistics from The George
Washington University, U.S. He worked as a research fellow at the
U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the area of Machine Learning.
Currently, he is an assistant professor at Helwan University, Faculty
of Computers and Information, Computer Science Department,
Egypt. He is the academic collaborator and research partner with
MESC for research and development, an R & D company. His area
of research includes Machine Learning and data analysis. Currently,
he is the principal investigator of a funded project for designing a
Computer Aided Detection system for detecting abnormalities in
mammograms. He is the director of the Human Computer
Interaction Laboratory (HCI lab.)
